Terms and Conditions

Operation

Forge cottage art club runs for 47 weeks per year and works on rolling system.  We are open during all school holidays unless otherwise advised.  If the club day falls on either Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day the club will be rescheduled to another suitable day during that holiday period, unless it is a scheduled club closure day. The club years runs from around the 20th of September to 19th of September Each Year.

Prices

The price of each 1hr and 45 minute session is £13.604.  The yearly price of 43 sessions is £585.  The £585 is divided into 13 equal payments of £45 and is paid by standing order every four weeks not monthly and continuously. The yearly price has been averaged out over 52 weeks for ease of accounting as we do not operate on a term only basis. Parents only pay for 43 sessions over the course of the year but each child is entitled to come for 47 sessions. The 4 lessons gratis can be put towards any absences i.e. summer holidays that are difficult to be made up. No refunds will be given in the event of any further absences but children can make up missed sessions on another available day if there is a free space.

We require that every parent or guardian pays by standing order to ensure commitment and a guarantee.  We also require parents to continue paying every four weeks even if they are away for the long summer holiday etc or we are on a scheduled club closure as their membership payments are spread out over the year.

If a standing order is stopped or cancelled it will be deemed that your child has left the art club and their space will be allocated to another child.  We require four weeks notice before leaving the club.

Making up missed sessions.

We endeavour to accommodate a child on an alternative session to make up missed sessions but during busy periods this may not always be possible.  We keep a record of attendance so each missed class can be kept in the wood until the end of the club year.

All missed classes must be made up by the end of the club year in September and the 4 free sessions are reset at this date.

If your child has accumulated more than 4 absences towards the end of the club year and the intention is to make them up we reserve the right to call in the 4 free sessions to make the target more realistic.

We also require prior notice if your child will be absent from their chosen session.  We like to remain as flexible as possible in terms of making up sessions for all children. Missed art club sessions cannot be put towards our holiday art and craft workshops.

Holiday Closures and events beyond our control that may prevent the club operating as normal

We have 5 weeks of scheduled club closures per year.  This means 5 of each day of operation.  i.e. 5 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  Parents are not charged for this as this as the membership price is for 43 weeks per year. Parents will be given plenty of notice of these dates.

If an event that is beyond our control prevents the club from operating normally, we will either run classes online or close for a maximum of 4 weeks using the 4 free lessons allocated to each child before reimbursement begins.
